About Hub and Health
Find out a bit more information about who Hub and Health are, how to find us, and how we came to be Hub and Health.
Hub and Health is located on Crewe Road, directly opposite to the entrance to Milton Park.
We have a small car park to the rear of the building which can be accessed via our driveway off of Crewe Road. We politely remind customers that the car park is reserved for those using the health service, and not for those using the coffee shop or studio.
We have one accessible bay for those who may require it.
We have taken every care to ensure that our services are accessible as possible. We have two wheelchair friendly entrances to the building, allowing entry into the coffee shop and the health clinic.
We also have an accessible toilet, a baby change station, and operate a hearing loop.
Meet the Team
Dev Alkins
Dev is the Registered Manager for Hub and Health.
He works closely with the service providers who operate from our building to ensure that things are running smoothly. He can also be found making coffees in The Hub from time to time. Dev was born in Alsager, and has previously worked as a Project Manager in the NHS, and as an emergency response police officer in South Yorkshire.
Kit Price
Kit is one of the Clinical Leads for Hub and Health.
Having completed her medical degree in Sheffield, she is now a GP Registrar training in Royal Stoke Hospital. Kit works with Sue to ensure that the health and wellbeing service providers are operating in accordance with the high standards set out by Hub and Health. In addition to this, she also offers clinical services from Hub and Health.
Sue Pearson
Sue is one of the Clinical Leads for Hub and Health.
Sue works with Kit to oversee the health and wellbeing services which operate from Hub and Health. She has an extensive career in healthcare, and currently works at Merepark Medical Centre, where she is a GP Partner. Sue will also be providing clinical services from Hub and Health, and is the Nominated Individual for Hub and Health.
Rupert Price
Rup is the Administration Lead for Hub and Health.
Rupert spent his career working in the NHS as a Consultant neurosurgeon at the Royal Stoke Hospital, having completed his medical training at Edinburgh University. Having now retired from his role in the NHS, Rupert oversees the management of our IT systems and administrative services.
Our Building
Our building didn't always look as it does now. We have worked hard to make the space what it is today. But we did not do it alone; we have also had a fantastic team of builders, joiners, plumbers, electricians, and decorators with us from the very beginning. Below, you can see some photos of how the building looked before we completed our renovations.
